On Sunday 17th November the Vice Lord-Lieutenant, Dr. Ruth Hussey CB OBE, attended a celebration of Ukrainian culture and traditions at the Capstone Theatre in Shaw Street.
The evening involved music, dance, art and celebrated the spirit of the Ukrainian community, bringing together people from all walks of life to enjoy the vibrancy of Ukrainian traditions.
Highlights included a traditional Ukrainian Folk Dance, a Children’s Choir, an Adults’ Choir, an Art Exhibition, Poetry Reading, Fashion Show and Ukrainian Delicacies – an experience of the flavours of Ukrainian traditional dishes and treats!
Ruth said, “I was delighted to attend on behalf of the Lord-Lieutenant. It was a most enjoyable evening, showcasing and celebrating Ukrainian culture and immense talent. It really was a great pleasure to attend.”
