The Lord-Lieutenant recently held an Investiture for one Member of the Order of the British Empire (an MBE) and six recipients of the British Empire Medal from the Birthday Honours List: Stephen Duffy MBE, Rebecca Chambers BEM, Jill Hyde BEM, Carol Marriott BEM, Stephen Ornellas BEM and Ken Orme BEM. The investiture was attended by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Cllr Richard Kemp CBE and Lady Mayoress Alderwoman Erica Kemp CBE, the Mayor of Sefton, Cllr June Burns, the Mayor of Wirral Cllr Cherry Povall and Mayoress of Wirral Mrs. Sheila Clarke MBE.

It is in recognition of their valuable services that His Majesty The King considered them deserving of public recognition and it was with great pleasure that the Lord-Lieutenant was able to present them with their medals on behalf of His Majesty.
