Merseyside sees four businesses awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious business awards, designed to recognise and encourage the achievements made by businesses in the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

Many congratulations to four great Merseyside businesses for being successful in the 2024 round of The King’s Awards for Enterprise.  They are:

Alfred H Knight Holdings Limited –  Innovation

JJ Smith & Co Limited – International Trade

Richardsons Healthcare Limited – International Trade

Rise Construction Framework – Promoting Opportunity

Alfred H Knight Holdings Ltd receives the award for their digital transformation of complex inspection services in the metals and minerals sector in Africa. 

JJ Smith & Co Ltd. is the UK’s leading independent Woodworking Machinery business, supplying cutting edge technology around the World. 

Richardsons Healthcare Ltd has a world leading contract for operating table mattresses as a manufacturer supplying the World’s largest medical device companies.  They had previously been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

Rise Construction Framework is awarded for helping care leavers remove barriers to employment, gain meaningful work and reach their full potential. 

We send all four businesses our heartfelt congratulations. 

And, we are delighted to confirm that all four businesses will be attending the Merseyside Lieutenancy’s KAE event being held at the Athenaeum Club in Liverpool on Wednesday 15th May.  

Hear from them and previous winners, Global Beauty Products Ltd, about how they made successful applications and what they learned from the process. 

The Head of the King’s Awards Office, Nicky Bruno will also be attending and there will be practical advice from the KAE assessors on how to make a successful application.
