John Mason Int LLT to Simon Hood

King’s Award for Enterprise – International Trade presented to John Mason International Limited.

On 7th November 2024 the Lord-Lieutenant presented John Mason International Ltd with their King’s Award for Enterprise in the category of International Trade.

To be eligible for the International Trade category winners have demonstrated that their organisation has achieved outstanding growth in overseas earning and in commercial success (for their business size and sector) through either steep year-on-year growth without dips over three years or substantial year-on-year growth without dips over six years.

The KAE is unique because, unlike personal honours awarded in the Monarch’s Birthday or New Year’s Honours Lists, this is an award to a Company, Unit or Organisation and it is the very highest award that a group can receive, and, because of this, it is not awarded lightly.

John Mason International is the UK’s leading international moving company, helping to relocate families, businesses and individuals globally.  Renowned for its meticulous and efficient service, it moves over 10,000 people annually to destinations such as Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada, South Africa and the UAE.

Headquartered in Knowsley, with facilities in Hemel Hempstead, John Mason International offers comprehensive moving solutions, including expert packing, secure storage and transportation of household names.

Founded in 1884 by Mary Mason with a horse and cart, the company initially delivered coal across Liverpool.  Today, John Mason International has orchestrated over one million moves.

Pictured below with the Lord-Lieutenant are Professor Michael Brown CBE DL, Mrs. Lesley Martin-Wright DL, The Mayor of Knowsley Cllr Ken McGlashan, The Mayor’s Consort Ms. Anne McGlashan, The Leader of Knowsley Council Cllr Graham Morgan, Knowsley Council Executive Director Dale Milburn, Mr. Simon Hood, Company Owner / Executive Director, Noel Briscoe, Managing Director, Ken Crane, Finance Director and the High Sheriff of Merseyside Professor John Mohin OBE DL and members of the John Mason International team. Well done on a very well deserved award.
