HRH The Princess Royal visited Southport on Friday 29th September 2023 to mark the 100 years anniversary of Southport War Memorial, the largest war memorial outside of London. The Royal British Legion Southport Branch organised a spectacular and dignified event including a parade led by The Band of The Royal Air Force College, the unveiling of a re-dedication plaque and a service of re-dedication that remembered those who had fallen as well as those veterans who returned.
