The Lord-Lieutenant was delighted to welcome HRH The Princess Royal back to Merseyside to attend the 125th Anniversary Dinner for the World famous Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine at the magnificent St. George’s Hall in Liverpool on 15th November. The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine was the first institution of its kind in the World and The Princess Royal joined staff, students, supporters, partners and alumni for the dinner. This is The Princess Royal’s fourth visit to Merseyside this year.
The event included a video message from Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organisation and keynote speeches from the co-founder of Pan-African Mosquito Control Association (PAMCA), Dr. Emma Orefuwa and Professor Henry Mwandumba, Director of the Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Programme.
