Mariners’ Park in Wallasey hosted a visit by HRH The Princess Royal on Friday 11th April 2025 to mark the opening of a new apartment block, Nautilus House, containing twenty seven two-bedroom apartments and the establishment of Nautilus International’s new Headquarters in the building.
Nautilus International is the trade union for maritime professionals in the UK, Netherlands and Switzerland. The Nautilus Welfare Fund has at the heart of its work Mariners’ Park, situated on the banks of the River Mersey providing 149 apartments, bungalows and houses as well as a residential and nursing home, dementia wing and provides its own Domiciliary Care Service on site for retired mariners and their dependents.
HRH met some of the residents in the new apartment block, as well as other residents in other parts of the park, Nautilus staff and stakeholders and supporters of the organisation.
