4th Crosby & District St. William of York

4th Crosby & District St. William of York, Scouts presented with The King’s Award for Voluntary Service.

On Friday 7th February 2025 The Lord-Lieutenant presented The KAVS to to 4th Crosby & District St. William of York Scouts. They are a truly deserving group, full of enthusiasm and warmth, they really go the extra mile for their young charges and the community, making a real difference to people’s lives. Congratulations go to the whole team.

The team of most of the volunteers is pictured below also with the Mayor of Sefton, Cllr June Burns and Deputy Council Leader Paulette Lapin. Also pictured below the Vice Lord-Lieutenant Ruth Hussey and Deputy Lieutenant Robert Owen, who completed the local assessment of the work of the group along with Clerk of the Lieutenancy Helen Tanzey. Also attending in support were Sefton Deputy Lieutenants Mark Underhill and Peter Oliver.

A particularly delicious Hot Pot supper rounded off the night perfectly.
